After breakfast we said goodbye to friends Iris and Marilyn from London.

Rossio Station is one of the two main rail stations in Lisbon. Luckily it was also reasonably close to our hotel.
Lisbon's Se (Cathedral)
The Lisbon Sè (Cathedral) was an important stop to get our credentials stamped.
Lisbon's cathedral rose window with disciples
The rose window of the apostles was brilliant in the evening sun. Saint James is on the left with his signature shell.

Our next stop for a stamp was at the Igreja dos Mártires Church where there is an unusual statue of Saint James the Apostle.

After dinner we took in some final views of Lisbon’s night skyline before heading back to the hotel. The Cathedral is lit on the far right.

Comments:

Wendy Hendry: Love all the pictures inside and outside churches, also all those tiles. 2022/09/14

Dan Hendry: Glad to see someone else enjoys viewing churches. Some of the best historic places in European cities we visit a rarely miss an opportunity for a quick look-see. 2022/09/14
