Porto Rest Day

Happily a rest day in Porto. We did laundry and visited the Cathedral.

5.3 miles walking around the city. Porto is a city of many hills so there have been elevation changes but nothing recorded.

Porto's Se, or cathedral
The Sè, or Cathedral, was built in the Romanesque style in the 11th century. It has gone through improvements in subsequent centuries, particularly Gothic changes in the 18th century.

St. James
There is a statue of St. James the Peregrino in the chapter house of the Cathedral.

Dinner was tapas at an outside table roped off from the street.

We also walked down to the riverfront for a stroll before heading back to the hotel for bed.

Reply: We like to eat outside where possible. Sunday was a challenge since the table was so tiny and we were crammed into a tiny space. We were sitting next to sidewalk walkers gawking and street traffic the other side. It was loud but interesting, and so distinctly Porto.. 2022/10/03
