A long travel day but we were excited that the vacation has begun!
Waiting for our UBER pickup for our drive to San Jose airport.
One flight down and a late lunch/early dinner in Nashville. Richard claimed his dinner of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and fried onion rings was healthy because it also included Brussels sprouts. It was no rush—the next flight was delayed.
This is our Hyundai electric car rental. (Picture taken the next day in daylight). It is quite different from our Chevy BOLT.

Don’t you just love that Southern food! Better or worse than your Bolt?
Actually the airport food was not a lot different from what we might find at home on the beef or pork menu. It was not what we might usually pick, but we enjoyed it.
The car is different from our BOLT and was confusing when we picked it up past 11 pm and it was dark. We managed to fiddle around enough to get to our destination, but Richard and Rob were out with the hood up the next day figuring things out.

Nice haircut, dad! You both are already missed by everyone here in Sacramento!!
Thanks, Julia. We’ll be home tormenting you again before you know it!
