Location

After a good night’s sleep in friends Linda and Rob’s home, we were ready to enjoy our visit. What a perfect day!

The kitties, Lucy and Fifer, were quite interested in having company but, of course, they determined when to interact with us. Lucy enjoys her grass.

Although they are in the city of Raleigh, Linda and Rob live across the road from pasture and woods. Despite the 85 degree heat with 90 % humidity, we went for a 2 1/2 mile hike in the woods.

We had a delicious dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. We were married eight days apart, both in 1974.

  1. Can see Rob really enjoyed the hike with you. Was his shirt soaked because he cried for joy, or was it the darned humidity? Hopefully you won’t deal with that high of humidity at any of your walking destinations. What does Lucy do with the small patch of grass? Hope that’s not her litter box.

  2. Richard looked almost as wet as Rob (and me) but it just didn’t show as much in the picture. It was incredibly humid. I also hope we never feel that oppressive humidity again.

Lucy is eating her salad course from the grass patch. She evidently loves the vegetarian palette and regularly eats grass.

  3. Patches likes to go outside and eat grass. Linda said Lucy has always eaten grass. They had a backup pan growing while she was working on one near her feed bowls, and Lucy was happy when they placed that one on the floor. Evidently fresh is preferred.
