Another long travel day. We fly from Miami to Washington Dulles airport, where we have a six-hour wait before a 10:05 pm overnight flight to Dublin. Thank goodness for lounge access where we had comfortable seats, WiFi, and eats. As usual, the late-night flight was delayed so we didn’t take off until 11:30.

As always, your food looks delicious! Very cruel pictures for those of us who have to “cook” nightly. Nice that we have the money to fly 1st class. Sure beats the economy flights we had to fly in our younger years. Don’t think we ever visited an airport lounge until we had retired. Ahhh, the privileged life. Just read the Chapter on Social Justice in Living the Questions. Wonder how our flying 1st class would work into this Chapter? Could we possibly be the “elites.”
Dan, we are always trying to include the food and comments just for you! We are very happy to travel business class, as I don’t think we would be able to handle the economy flights we used to do. The lounges make waiting pleasant so we can catch up with mail and blogging. Nothing better!
Previous comment from Dan not Wendy.
I figured as much. What about all the meals you’ve prepared over the years? I usually enjoy cooking and Richard is easily pleased.
Yay! You’re finally on your way! I’m sure you’re glad to be done with the traveling part, at least for now – all those delays-
And now I’ll be a bit of a “mother” – Hey Jan! I hope your first photo is for “looks” Remember your elbow! As I understood it, Richard would be doing all the heavy lifting! (And Happy Birthday Richard) Plus this is the second photo of you with all that luggage – I’m watching out for you………
It’s so nice to be here and we are both doing relatively well except for being very tired after the overnight flight. I pull luggage, mostly with my left arm, but the elbow is not bothering me at all. Richard does the heavy lifting. We celebrated his birthday with a very nice dinner last night.
Oh so glad you made it to Ireland! And your food pics are amazing. Will you be kissing the barney stone? Some of the churches and markets look beautiful in Cork. How’s the elbow, Jan?
We’re enjoying the food—our favorite line is that it’s all okay because we’re on vacation. It’s a good thing we’ll walk soon or I’d outgrow my clothes before heading home.
We’ve got more exploring to do in Cork, and are hoping to get to Blarney Castle tomorrow. We’ll see how the lines are to kiss the stone. I’ve already got the gift of gab.
Oh I forgot to wish Richard Happy Birthday!!! I would say he’s getting a very nice present with this trip❤️
It is a wonderful present for both of us!
Glad that you made it to Ireland. You both look so relaxed and well fed!
We are definitely well fed! It’s just about time to hike which will do me good!
