We had about an hour’s drive, plenty of time to observe the countryside.
This was an unusual paint job for a coffeehouse, but you’re not likely to miss it.
Peveril Castle overlooks the town of Castleton, where the hike to climb Mam Tor (a high peak in the Peak District) begins. The castle is important for its location in the hunting ground of the Royal Forest.
The view from the trail overlooking Castleton.
Richard, Emma, and Hayley on the hike.
Back to Simon’s house to clean up before dinner with Simon and Emma’s parents.

This was a bit different day for you. Much more relaxing though you still managed the four plus miles of walking. Don’t want to get out of shape! Dan
Richard, your Relive’s are really a good addition to the narrative of your trip. They are both informative about where you have been and enjoyable to watch. Don’t know how you two find the time to put these daily adventures together with all the activities you do each day. Do you two ever sleep? Dan
We are frustrated to be behind on postings, but we’re not about to slow down our daily activities. We love the blog and ReLives as a diary for us.
