Travel Aachen to Paris

Wednesday was a travel day moving from Aachen to Paris. We settled into our home for the next 13 nights.

3.25 miles, drizzle in the morning, but partly cloudy in the afternoon and evening.

Richard has a ReLive for our journey that covers the majority of the day. I have only a bit about our apartment. Here is his video: https://www.relive.com/view/vRO7NGzKyyv

This is our outside green door to the apartment courtyard. We are actually in a building on the back on the first floor (up one set of stairs) overlooking another courtyard.

This is the view out of our kitchen window. The changing colors of ivy is beautiful.

The living room is quite comfortable with a large television with English-speaking stations available as well as Netflix. Too bad we don’t plan to watch TV.

There is not a lot of room in the bedroom but we don’t have to live out of suitcases for a while. There is a sink, shower, and washing machine next to the bedroom.

This is our second apartment this year where the toilet has its own separate room. This one is between the living room and kitchen!

Our kitchen is well-stocked and our hosts even provided some perishables for our first day. We made a quick trip to the store for some groceries we enjoy.

Relaxing after a day of travel with appetizers while waiting for the quiche Lorraine to warm. Tomorrow will be a day for exploring.

  1. So many wonderful places to visit in Paris and surrounding areas. We rented an apartment for a month and when we left Paris still felt there places we didn’t get to see. Your apartment looks really nice and it will a relief not having to pack up for your next day’s adventure. Please send us your address so we can see where you are staying. Dan and Wendy

    1. We’re slowly getting through some of our Paris wish-list. I believe you mentioned that your Paris rental was near the Eiffel Tower. Ours is nowhere near that, but we tried to get a central location with train stations. I’ll Email the address to you. It’s a very diverse neighborhood close to the Metro and shopping. The apartment is quiet and the hosts are wonderful.

  2. Looked up our apartment address and it was about 2 blocks up from the Hotel de Ville. Nice location and easy walking to many of the museums and tourist highlights. Dan
