Finisterre to Frije

It stormed all night last night and was continuing to rain this morning. The forecast was rain all day. We decided we had enough rain and instead of walking from Finisterre to Frixe, we would taxi to our hotel for the night. We enjoyed quiet time at the hotel and by late afternoon the rain had cleared so we had a short walk through town. We never saw a bar or store so we figured we were staying in the best place in town.

2.77 miles for the day.  No video today.

Maria Jesus collecting potatoes from the horario
We always wonder whether or not the many horarios in Galicia are actually used. When we saw a ladder next to the one in the hotel’s yard, I went to peek in. Both Maria Jesus and I surprised each other—she was collecting potatoes for our dinner tonight! They also keep maize for cooking in their horario.

We headed out to see the Camino path that we might have taken today.

Dan Hendry: My kind of day! Dan. 2022/10/20

Reply It was definitely a lazy kind of day. The storm during the night was amazing and a little scary with the intense wind. We just felt the “rest day” was called for. 2022/10/20
