We got distracted and missed the signs to the entrance. A wedding party with colorful outfits was raking pictures near the grand staircase.
Sadly there was no garden in front, just plastic coverings I’ll assume will soon be replaced with flowers.
Our first visit was showcasing Napoleon—mostly family connections after he divorced Josephine and married Marie Louise of Austria, and personal items. Of course, there are all the rooms to review.
Finally he got the heir he wanted, and he immediately claimed the baby was the king of Italy. Sadly he lived only until his early 20’s and died of tuberculosis.
This is the goddess Diana fountain in the small garden next to city streets. It is still green with lots of folks enjoying the October weekend here.

Fontainbleau pictures were great. One of the more ornately decorated buildings we have visited. Amazing how much you have seen. You will have a great time going through all these pictures and Relive when you get home and will further appreciate all you have gotten to see. Dan and Wendy
Right now so much of our journey blurs together because we’re on the go every day. That’s the value of the blog to us because we can look back easily. We have talked about reviewing the blog when we have some down days on the ocean-crossing cruise.
This was new to us. Thank You!!!
It was new to us as well so I’m glad we could learn some new things together.
